Staying up to date together – Focus on PPWR

Regulatory requirements are evolving dynamically. The PPWR (Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation) in particular is keeping the entire packaging industry on its toes this year.
On February 18, members of the P360° network met for an internal training session on the new EU Packaging Regulation. Under the expert guidance of Judith Fiedler and Inka Longrée (OneRD), key requirements, role allocations, and implementation steps were explained in a practical manner.
The focus was on questions such as:
- Who assumes which responsibilities along the supply chain?
- How is the declaration of conformity structured?
- What does design for recycling mean in concrete terms?
- What material and printing requirements must be observed?
The cross-functional exchange within the network was particularly valuable. Different perspectives create clarity – and it is precisely these synergies that ultimately benefit our customers.
The workshop was not the first step for us in relation to the PPWR. We have had this topic on our agenda for a long time. Our quality management department attended training courses at an early stage, we have already developed new materials that meet the requirements of the PPWR, and we are continuously working on further future-proof sealing systems.
